The Parachute Project is excited to be working in partnership with Building Norfolk to establish a vibrant community hub in Fakenham.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to supporting the community.  We are so grateful that Building Norfolk, a CIC created by Grocott and Murfit, have recognised TPP as a company that is making a difference and wants to work with us by creating a community space that will have a focus on well-being.

Overview

Together, we aim to ensure that we provide a safe community hub that delivers a range of vital resources and support systems that are accessible to all.

Safe Landing will serve as a secondary base for The Parachute Project to continue supplying our existing service. This space will also enable us to offer a variety of free services to the community. These include targeted sessions for children and parents addressing key mental health topics, as well as drop-in sessions. These drop-ins are designed to provide a warm welcome, a safe environment, and a listening ear. Our goal is to make Safe Landing a space where individuals and families feel supported, empowered and valued.

In addition to our own initiatives, Safe Landing will also be available as a resource for other Norfolk-based charities. By providing a venue for meetings, group events and community activities, the hub will serve as a vital base for collaborative efforts and local projects in Fakenham.

Through this partnership with Building Norfolk, The Parachute Project is taking an important step towards creating a brighter future for children and families in Fakenham and beyond. By combining resources, expertise and a shared vision, we are building not just a hub, but a true community space where hope and support are always within reach.

A note from Daniel Grocott and Jody Murfit

Jody and I established our community support programme several years ago as we see it as important to lend a hand to those in our community, particularly those who are less fortunate. Engaging in meaningful projects not only strengthens our team’s bond but also demonstrates how collaborative efforts in business can lead to a greater impact. We envisaged a ‘community hub’ as a place where individuals, businesses and organisations could unite to provide a safe environment for people to access essential resources and support.

While we possessed the space and ideas, we lacked the necessary expertise to advance our plans. We were acquainted with Abi and The Parachute Project through their support of Jody and his family, and we have collaborated with her in assisting other families since then. Abi’s enthusiasm for her work is truly inspiring, and I was confident she would be instrumental in driving our initiatives forward. We are now genuinely enthusiastic about uniting people and effecting change; together, we can achieve so much more!

– Daniel Grocott

We are truly honoured to support the new community hub, a project that holds a very special place in our hearts. During a particularly challenging time, our daughter Libby received incredible support from Abi, who played a vital role in helping her build resilience, regain her confidence, and rediscover her path. Abi’s unwavering kindness, understanding, and encouragement empowered Libby to navigate through difficulties and emerge stronger. Their friendship remains a testament to the positive impact Abi has had, and we are forever grateful for the difference she made in Libby’s life.

Now thriving in her A-level studies and preparing to begin her journey towards a medical degree in 2026, Libby’s achievements reflect not just her own determination but also the crucial guidance and support she received. We have no doubt that this new hub will be a source of hope and transformation for many others, just as it has been for our family.
